Awesome work, great description of your photo and editing process and excellent approach towards everything. I think those who balance both the technical and artistic qualities of photography produce the most consistent and compelling pieces of work. Getting it "right" in-camera is definitely important but so is expertise editing in post to bring out your vision.

Excellent DOF and I love the way the street lights accent the old tree on the right. The misty fog and the area just right of the path makes you wonder what lurks in the darkness. Spooky but equally intriguing photo. I can see in more ways than one why this photo took top honors. Excellent work rio78.
