R O S E by PhilosComment: Greetings from the Critique Club.
What can I say? There is nothing to add that hasn't already been said, it's a lovely, beautiful shot, the outtakes were just as beautiful. Congrats on your ribbon. I love the shot and have nothing to add.

Two-Inch Bug!by davidus428Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Thought this looked familier, I commented during the challenge! This is a nice shot, the yellow does stand out but the focus is immediately drawn to the bug and as a result you might have lost a few points for that when people voted.
A slightly different crop to balance the shot more also might have increased the score just a bit. Other than that and what I already commented on, I'm sorry I don't have much else to add.
Hope my comments have helped and Good Luck in future challenges!

F/V Alexander Returning to Dockby jrjrComment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
This is a lovely image, the blues, the yellow on the boat, the crisp clear color and image lend itself very well. The overall balance is also there, very well centered.
It meets the challenge in that it has the yellow base for the boat but that's about all that really jumps out as far as challenge requirements. The yellow doesn't dominate the picture nor does it just fade away. To do better in this paricular challenge you might have desaturated the blue quite a bit to make the yellow stand out more. But I really like the shot just as it is, a very nice stock shot to me. The owner of the boat would probably love a copy of this. In another challenge it might have done better, for this particular one, it met the requirement of having yellow in the shot and that's about it.
Hope my comments help!

Eyesby carlosComment: Wow, not sure what to say. Brave is one word that comes to mind when I think about your decision to post this. Yes, it's just a picture but as you are probably finding out a very touchy subject. Well done overall but the eyes aren't really noticable and aren't as sharp as they could be. A 5 |

Yellow Tortexby langdonComment: I did not get to this during the challenge but I like it! The small amount of yellow is very well done, stands out and really draws my attention into the shot. But the colors for the rest of the shot left me feeling off for some reason, maybe a more b&w take would have made a difference? Look at me, offering advice to you, LOL :) Just my thoughts, I do really like the shot though. Well done. If I had made it this far in the voting I would have given this a 7 |
