S T U M P Yby Art RoflmaoComment: I love that you gave it a name. I remember seeing scenes like this when we hiked Discovery Park in Seattle. I must have seen a million little "characters" like this. And your image really brings the character to life beautifully. |

KItchen-Series: 5 Ready to Bakeby PenelopeKComment: Sometimes those presets will shake you out of a funk and inspire some whimsical "what if I tried..." questions that can take your vision in new directions. One of the idiomatic strengths of digital photography is the low, low cost of outtakes and experimentation.
Having said that, I actually dig this image exactly as it is. It forces a kind of critical second look at an ordinary scene--evoking a kind of "inner chaos" that is masked by the seeming tidiness of actual domestic appearances.
Not sure if you were going for any of that or just playing with settings in abstract. But that's what I thought looking at it. :-) |

Kitchen Series: 3 Making Facesby PenelopeKComment: Definitely a "found face" in this, as mentioned already. :-) The seeds look rather toothlike.
Having said that, I don't find this image to be humorous or anything like that. It's nicely composed and a smart addition to your series. |

Albicoccaby NeatComment: The vintage processing works wonders here. |

Eye see you by NeatComment: Doesn't especially say "documentary" or speak Parr's language to me, but I have no technical notes for this one. I think it's a lovely capture and beautifully processed. |

jacket by beatabgComment: There's a lot of Parr in this frame, I think. The colors, the subject placement and pose, the "mundane absurdity" factor. One of my top picks. |
