Thanks for the comments and a special thanks to pixelpig for the Gilded Lily award, my first ever. Its also the first time i had someone fav one of my photos which is exciting as well.

To be honest, I took this photo when i first got my new macro lens. I didnt really have anything in mind while taking it, i just wanted to see how close i could get and this turned up. I took about 10 photos and this one to me looked the best. Looking forward to taking a lot more similar to this photo and learning as much as i can.

Oh and by the way, another first, no scores of 1 :)

Looking to crack a avg of 6 or higher soon.

Thanks for the advice. No on the female, must just be a girlish looking boy. Marine Corps boot camp is not co-ed, i believe the other service's military recruit training are thou.

Thanks for all of the positive comments. I am still learning how to effectively use my camera, so far, this photo is my highest score :)

I seriously dont understand those who voted a score of a 1, 2 or even a 3 but i guess thats how it goes.

Gator Wild

Thanks for all of the comments. Yes, here in the Low Country it is not unusual to see several Gators on each water hole.

The green stuff on his/her back is algae. The color in the Photo is the color of the gator the way the sun hit it. I didnt adjust any of the colors in the photo.
