Faris' Pondby vtruanComment: Good shot, BUT this really has to be a B&W photo to be considered Ansel to me. 3 |

Sonoran Spring by ArtifactsComment: When I first saw your shot I knew it was a 10 to me. It has the tonal range and razor sharpness that is Ansel. It is hard to get the razor edge without a field camera, but you seemed to have done it. This is realy on par with the master. Great shot!!!!! |

Miredby OlyuziComment: I too like the b&w choice. Symmetry is an issue for me in this shot. As was stated before, there is too much area to the right of the boat. It is not quite in the center of the rule of thirds area. The boat itself is caught at a bad angle as it too does not look symmetrical. The transom appears to have two differnt angles on the left and on the right. It looks like a boat that I might try to draw and not get quite right. Perhaps a shot more from the side instead of from the stern might be better. It just gives the photo an off balance look to me. I like the texture of the exposed shore but the extra white is distracting to me as well. Good luck and I hope that this does not sound too harsh. The shot is always there, it is most difficult for me to capture the perfect or best angle, light composition, location, ........

Wind Conquers Waterby AzrifelComment: Great shot. I spent a year in Holland in 1964. Still love the windmills. I like that you caught the sails unfurled and working. 8 |
