I think you went shooting with someone else - I pefer your shutter speed. I can still feel the power but the movement in the water adds a special something. I do feel it is a bit bright though especially in the shadows.

I want to love this more but the horison being in the middle is bugging me a bit. I would have moved closer to the water, used a slow shutter speed to blur the crashing waves and used the moving water as your FG in the bottom third

I can what you tried here and it almost worked. I would have tried to get the horison down a bit to be more on the thirds line. Plus I would have tried to shoot from a slighly higher vantage point with a wider angle lens - that should give the rocks on the right more of leading line into the image. 6 for trying
