A nice composition with focus being led nicely to the orange/red test tube. Although the image does appear to be a little soft.

In my opinion this photo lacks any definition around the facial area and it is a shame that the paws have been cropped out.

A handsome dog there... although his face appears out of focus and its shame to have cropped parts of his body - tail, paws etc. Also the back drop could have been of more interest.

It could be questioned whether this photo is suitable for the challenge, the focus point appears to be on the bud furthest away (to the right) and the main bud (which i assume is the one you were trying to have as the main subject) does not appear in the centre... possibly needs a rotate / crop etc...
