Arabian Flights by scalvertComment: I really like the idea, but the lighting is too far off to make this illusion work. I think that even placing the magic carpet on a table to raise it up from the background would help you to pull off the illusion. |

The Best Left to the Imaginationby phylsy7Comment: It's be nice if you were either more abstract or more concrete with the content of the photo; as presented here it's not enticing enough to make me look any deeper. |

A Mermaids Taleby JudiComment: This looks too fake and digital-artsy to appeal to me in a photography contest. I think that in this context the fantasy would feel more fantastic if it were better grounded in something that looked real. I think that I'd be able to connect better with an element of fantasy that's surrounded by the everyday mundanity than one which is surrounded by an artificial looking scene. |

Everwinterby dw_photoComment: The colors in this image are rather drab and the lighting rather flat. Both of these could have been corrected in your image editor by altering the contrast and color saturation. I think that the composition would be stronger if there was a clear point of interest for me to look at; as it is it just looks like any other stand of trees. |

Are you home, dear?by jjbeguinComment: This looks over-sharpened. Adding a human element to this photo would give it a big kick. As it is, it just looks like a well-done architectural photograph. Placing a person, a glass slipper, etc. on the stairs would add an emotional dimension to the image, which I think would improve the picture considerably. |

Fairytale comes to lifeby marvinComment: This is a great, stock-like image, but it seems like an unduly concrete interpretation of the challenge topic. |

Always wanted to be a Jediby unnevaComment: You have a beautiful model; why did you make her look plastic with the aggressive NeatImage-ing? I think that doing so really hurt an otherwise great photo. A stronger catchlight would have made this a stronger portrait. I'd be interested in seeing more texture detail in her clothing; I'm not sure how much of this lack of texture is due to the lighting configuration and how much was just killed by NI. |

Fantasy Withinby bcobleComment: The uneven horizon is distracting. I can't tell what the poorly-lit house has to do with the topic. |
