Old and New Buildingsby SimonkasprzakComment: Nice buildning reflection picture, but imho I dont like that you can see the interior inside, and that you can see the edge of the glassbuilding to the upper right. |

This bird slamed into our windowby MikaelComment: Originally posted by Everyday Renee: Reply to Mikael's E-mail below:

In the United States, we have organizations that rehabilitate wildlife -- and yes, they rehabilitate birds. Fellow Mortals is one such organization in Wisconsin who rehabilitates many wild creatures -- of which the majority are birds -- even small song birds like yours.
Maybe you can locate a similiar organization in your country in case you encounter this situation again. Most birds who are stunned from hitting a window die from internal bleeding/trauma.

Thats a nice organisation! Though I dont think we have one like it over here in Sweden, atleast not nearby where I live.
Sure they might have internal bleeding, and thats too bad this can happen. But as I said in my private mail to you which you so kindly posted here, that if this bird did die later on, it will benefit another animal. Circle of life.
Edit: Call me cold-hartedly, but this is the way I see the world. And sorry if I offended anybody with this picture! it was truely not my intention with it! Message edited by author 2003-10-19 13:38:47. |
