ABSOLUTE 4TH!by apercepComment by apercep: Thanks to everyone who voted and commented. I pulled this one out at the last second, literally. I started the shoot at 11:45pm!! wish i could have polished my composition a bit more, but still happy. it is a PB for me (place and score)!!
To make the effect, i traced the bottle in complete darkness with a metallic sparkler. |

ABSOLUTE 4TH!by apercepComment by yanko: Nice idea. I think the presentation could have been cleaner had you cloned out the streaks of light in front of the bottle and brighten the text so it's easier to read. Another option would be to fired a flash thru the bottle from behind with a snoot that way you keep the sparklers from blowing out while making the bottle pop. Or cover the bottle in cinefoil that way the bottle remains completely black leaving just a sparkler silhouette. Anyway, just some thoughts. Overall, the execution is pretty good. Good luck. |
