Since the subject is presumably the sand, I'd like to see it more in focus. I'm not sure what the relationship is between the dog and the sands of time. A much simpler cloth (instead of the quilt) would have looked better, IMO.

Wow tough finish. I did not vote but would have placed it higher. I thought all the car door parts framed the shot nicely and added to allure. You can't please everyone, it seems.

Take solace from the high number of 7, 8, 9, and 10's. When you score low with that many high scores, it usually means a good photo that connected with a lot of voters but also missed with a bunch as well.
