Surprise Hugby KarlJohnstonComment by muckpond: greetings from the critique club!
while i appreciate the capture in the moment, i think the most distracting part of this image is the crashing wave in the background. it really takes away from what is going on in the foreground.
the title is funny and apt.
i think if this had been shot from a different angle so there wasn't such a busy background it would have had more impact for the viewer.
good luck!

Weaver Of Red Silkby KarlJohnstonComment by Teafran: A view of natural world lighting that is not normally seen in the southern latitudes. Interesting treatment with the red foreground providing some contrast. A very interesting starfield demonstrating the nature of physical light thousands of light years old. A stong, purposeful image using the natural world as it's playground. Extremely creative and should be a top ten image if not a ribbon winner. |

Weaver Of Red Silkby KarlJohnstonComment by Contra: You can't loose with Polar lights, but does not mean you can always win, I'd prefer mountains instead of those trees. I wonder how you got the red light on the road ... - car brakes? Nice touch. |
