As a scene to invoke a feeling of silence it fails for me because my personal experience of such scenes here in the UK is that it's impossible to escape the noise of humanity - there will always be the noise of traffic, overflying aircraft or people talking. If you didn't have that here I'm envious.

This seems to me a little "flat" in that a bit of adjustment in curves or levels will bring out the contrasts and colors a bit more.

He's an amazing looking bird. I think a tighter crop with more emphasis on the bird would help here. There are a few too many branches which are distracting.
