well, this is a snap shot. I wonder why you wouldn't have him looking at you.. or, even better, getting out of the van with the school in the background?? just seems thrown together last minute. it's a 3 for me.

A creative effort, but has a few serious issues, I'm afraid. Harsh forward facing onboard flash is the biggest problem. I prefer to just use ambient light in a situation like this. (Might need a tripod to compensate for a long shutter speed, however.) Composition and the location on your kitchen counter is not the best either. Perhaps setting this up as if it were a doll on a child's bed might have worked. Sorry to have to be so harsh on something you clearly put thought and effort into.

You went through all this work and creativity for the veggie/fruit character and unfortunately is suffered due to the rest of the shot...ie. the background. Nice work though and I'll give you a 7 for the initial effort. :)
