my collectionby mshafeeqmComment by Yo_Spiff: It's not grabbing me, and when I looked at your file size, I knew at least part of why:
There seems to be a lack of detail to this photo that such a subject should have. I think some of it is due to the use of excessive JPEG compression. Your file size of only 63k indicates a highly compressed image and that is what is robbing a lot of the potential detail from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (150k for this one) |

my love by mshafeeqmComment by GThumbtack: The words edited in and the smooth reflection of the stuffed animal makes me feel like the entire background was edited into the picture. As well done as this picture is I did not like it at all. |

the day afterby mshafeeqmComment by escapetooz: This is a really cool shot. The boats are a bit surreal sitting there... if I didn't know this was a challenge with rules I would think they were added as part of a collage. I'm not sure though if this shot would be considered abstract, surreal perhaps, but I think for it to be abstract it would have to be a lot less clear what you were looking at. But it is very clearly some boats on sand. If you had cropped it in a way to where the boats weren't recognizable as such, I think it would work. Perhaps get the tips of the noses in only. |
