shellby ScooterMcNuttyComment by codys: The back of the shell is out of focus. I would close the aperture a little to broaden the depth of field. Ideally, you would want the whole subject in focus, or if you want to do some artsy stuff, really get in tight and exaggerate the narrowness of the the DOF (like just having a person's eye in focus). When it is somewhere in the middle it tends to look lime a mistake.
Nice ISO selection. My rule of thumb is to always shoot at the lowest ISO you can so as to keep the noise down. |

shellby ScooterMcNuttyComment by trevytrev: I prefer simple shots like this one versus the other two you posted. I like the use of lighting and nice contrast of the shell on the darker wood, plus there are nice textures in both the shell and table. I do think the shell is too close to being centered and though I like the angle you choose for the shell I think the composition would benefit from moving it in the frame so it is either more towards the upper left frame or more towards lower right. I think the lower right would work well since the shadow would then run diagonal through the frame creating a nice flow. |

branchesby ScooterMcNuttyComment by trevytrev: Another nice photo with a bit of an abstract quality and nice bokeh. I think i might prefer a tighter crop on this to eliminate the the lower right corner and to really close in on the sticks. |

End-of-Winterby ScooterMcNuttyComment by trevytrev: I'm not a big fan of oof foreground objects that take up alot of space but it seems to work for this shot. It gives this a peek through the woods feel. |
