What about me???by rstoskyComment by ssturges: The bird is cool, but the photo could be cropped a lot better. One good rule of photography is to make the animal, or person, walk (or look) toward the center of the photo, not away from it. |

What about me???by rstoskyComment by bvy: I'm not sure what the main focal point is supposed to be. The blue recycle bin (?) is distracting (is that the triangle?) from a more prominent subject. |

What about me???by rstoskyComment by shundaroni: Hey goose. You are poorly composed. Next time, find a new photographer who can more effectively capture your essence. |

What about me???by rstoskyComment by sanschag: Good exposure as there is detail in both the white and black feathers. Unfortunately, the image doesn't work for me. The blue box is very distracting as is the orange roof. Also, the front curb "decapitates" the goose while the back curb merges with the neck. |

visible minorityby rstoskyComment by rstosky: Actually I painted this photo with my SB800. At f/29 and a 30 sec shutter speed, the bottles in this image are really focus, however they appear to be blurry. If you were to zoom in on the original RAW file, you would see a glow or halo around them (very weird). Think I'm going to have to play around with this affect. If anyone can tell me what has caused the "glow", I'd greatly appreciate it. (nothing moved over the 30 seconds, the camera was on a tripod, the SB800 never fired when the mirror was in the process of opening/closing, so the mirror movement should not have caused the blur and the objects in the set were not moving at all)
BTW, thanks for all of the comments

visible minorityby rstoskyComment by bassbone: the color metaphor is a good choice for 'odd-ness'. i am just not sure i like the choice of angle of shot and composition |
