"We love you, Miss Hannigan!"by JessiComment by Mephisto: This is so much fun I don't get how nobody bothered to comment??!
The expressions and interaction of only your sister is a nice singled out focus in this shot.
btw, do you have a flickr account? |

Carolineby JessiComment by salmiakki: Greetings from Critique Club.
Well, as both of the other commenters have said, this is a very nice candid shot. The little girl seems very comfortable with being in front of the camera.
From a technical point of view, I wonder if the DOF is just a little bit too shallow. It may have worked better if more of Caroline was in focus.
I also find the white balance to be a little bit off. This may just be my personal preference but I feel it is just a little bit too warm. A bit cooler, only a tiny bit mind you, may work better. Also, I think the image is slightly overexposed. I don't know if you were intentionally aiming for that, but if not, then I think a slight adjustment to brightness may have helped.
Overall, I thought this was a pleasant well done image, but probably lacking the DPC WoW factor to score much higher than it did in a free study. |

White Liesby JessiComment by Teafran: An incredible portrait that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done |

White Liesby JessiComment by K3Master: It was a happy night that went down in infamy.
It was Bruce Banner's birthday, and he and his friends had decided to go out for Karaoke to let off a little steam and have a little fun.
But it was while performing "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", that a group of drunk rabble-rousers entered the bar. A group hell-bent on causing as much mischief as they could. And when their taunts and cat-calls took on more and more personal notes, that Bruce began to get angry.
They soon learned that they wouldn't like it when Bruce gets angry. Especially not when he's singing Elton John for all he's worth. |

Hunh?by JessiComment by Teafran: The sense of "moment" is present in this image and the obvious character being captured carries some visual impact. Technically, it's a very well composed image which is a plus. From an artistic standpoint, it lacks impact. A worthy entry into the challenge just lacking that something special to make it stand out. |
