Soft orchidby ShunComment by macrothing: As others have likely said - this is too close and out of focus because of that. Further out and a variation in crop/composition would have made this a much better image in my opinion. |

Soft orchidby ShunComment by russbbrink: More mainstream, but probably better approach would be to put the center of the bud in focus, and let the leaves be more out of focus. |

Soft orchidby ShunComment by Denise: wish the front and center had been in focus, slightly going OOF as the picture moved back |

Soft orchidby ShunComment by andrewt: don't really see the soft focus, the oof of your shot is more shallow DOF than soft focus per se. |

Old flooringby ShunComment by tootsweet: Perhaps a lower angle, like if you laying on the floor. Or even if you had oiled half and left the other half as is. Just a little something to add some pop. |

Old flooringby ShunComment by bobonacus: I like the idea but it doesn't quite work for me ... there is something lacking in the photo, maybe it needs a larger area or just something else in the photo. |

Old flooringby ShunComment by nabusl: the lines in this photo define the positive characteristics of this image. |
