I think that the candlestick holders throw me off a bit. I am not sure exactly why they are stacked that way. It really doesn't add a dramatic effect or help tell a story, but if they were upright and on the table I might have believed that it was an older image.

my first impressions: odd looking arrangement. the grinders (?) unbalance your composition which is basically circles. the lines of the grinders are cutting right through these circles. Did you try other angles? You took the shot from a typical view of someone looking down at a scene. THis creates a very ordinary view - nothing special.
