The only disappointing thing about this photo is that the tip of the mountain is in direct sunlight and the rest of the photo isnt (either all or none).

It looked so inviting. He'd been on the road so long, hopping rails, trudging the tarmac, getting by on hand-outs and wild herbs and berries. So when he came to civilization again at long last, a quick walk through an old train bridge, who would have hesitated? Who would have listened to that small nagging tug of instinctual fear?

Not he. No, not he.

He grinned at the thought of a hot meal at the shelter and placed a foot onto the bridge.

The screams were cut short almost before they started.
