But if it comforts you at all, just know that there are those of us here who understand, and truly respect the social and political statements photographers, like us, try to make with our photographs.

I like your face; technically it's a little bit too transparent. You shouldn't hide yourself that much. I would love to see darker eyes, clear view of lips and face... composition is very good though. Nice positioning in the frame :)
