Ouch Kurtis, imho this should have scored above a 5.5 and should have been your first 6 score (am sure its not far away). Am guessing many of the voters were wanting to see abandoned buildings rather than people (I gave it a 7).

I've spent much longer looking at this shot than I did during voting and agree with vxpra that the hat is probably redundant in this shot. I like the surroundings you chose and think your model has done a great job of setting the mood. Whilst the entire scene helps meet the challenge a closer crop of her may have scored better for you - very nice :)

I like the overall image, nice processing. But, I am not getting the story here (or at least I am not putting it together). She is clearly crying, grasping a photo that appears to be a "prom date" kind of shot, and she is wearing a wedding band. She's dressed in black, so I am thinking the love of her life has passed away. Where I think I am getting lost is she appears to be holding a hat. If it is supposed to be a funeral, the hat doesn't connect to anything else in the image. It would be great if she was holding something that connected her to the man in the image.
