Waiting For Irinaby greenem2Comment by carolee: The stripes plus the pose against the wall suggest a sort of prison theme. Does the title imply that the person you wait for has trapped you in some way? |

Glovesby greenem2Comment by dsidwell: Hey, gloves! Hmmm. I have to admit that lighting does add interest to these gloves, and a sense of mystery. I'll go for that! |

Waiting For Irinaby greenem2Comment by adine: This portait creates a definite mood - very nice. The glare of the artificial light, the blankness of the wall, the shadow on your face, your position as you slump against the wall. Waiting in an empty place - hopefully Irina will come soon. I woudl like to see how the pic would look if it included your foot on the ground and a bit of ground at the bottom - I'm wondering if it would give the viewer a better sense of place - or perhaps are you saying you are "up in the air" without Irina? |

Waiting For Irinaby greenem2Comment by ChrisW123: Hmm, seems out of balance to me for some reason (titled, I'm not sure), BUT, this is a great shot with the spectacular lighting, contrast, and colors. |

Flouresceby greenem2Comment by buck4free: GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB!
Wow, this is nice and I cant believe it didnt score better. Composition works great. Angles are very dynamic. Framing follows the Rule of Thirds almost textbook with the white dominating and then the tan and black taking up less and less. Its also nice how the hues are similarly graduated, progressing from light to mid to dark, and even the textures almost work the same. The light has an obvious patterned texture, the tan hints at some, while the black is void of any information whatsoever. A few have noted that the shadow towards the bottom is distracting. I initially felt the same, however it does at a certain change to the overwhelming linearity and sharpness of the lines/angles. At this point Im undecided. I do like the photo alot, and I am adding it to my favorites. |
