Heavenly Hangerby ajfanComment by DistantColours: Nice composition. The use of flash has caused uneven lighting. This could be fixed with a bit of dodge and burn in post production. |

Balanced Rockby ajfanComment by madcrabber: the scrub brush on the lower left of image distracts me from the blue-black contrast that is the image, otherwise really good work |

Balanced Rockby ajfanComment by mcleandesign: in my estimation, this is one of the only shots I've seen so far that truly understands the value of negative space...as I understand it—that the negative space is supposed to draw your attention prior to the positve space. Well done. It get's my vote.

Balanced Rockby ajfanComment by CrazyMonkey-Ben: Hey, i've been there. ;)
I like this rendition. It's so difficult to take a unique photo of this rock as often as it is photographed. Well done.
I like the fact that it's open to interpretation which is actually the "negative space".
I wish the sky was smoother, less noisy. |

Balanced Rockby ajfanComment by littlefish: I liked the positive /negative on this photo. Would have liked more without the scrub or bush in foreground. Not sure but if a silouette of a person leaning on rock could have been accomplished or even a siloette of person to show magnitude or size of rock. I like the shot though! |

Into Adulthoodby ajfanComment by surfdabbler: Nice crisp shot, and great natural colours. The shadows in the eye sockets are not idea, but you probably couldn't control the lighting, which is still pretty good. I like the shallow DOF, and the expression. Could benefit from a little USM, and maybe move the crop slightly to show less behind his head, and a little more in front, but a great image. |
