On the Beachby TonyUKComment by pineapple: You can make a good living from Microstock. But images like the above are very common these days. Glamour does not sell. If you have a commercial mind, knowledge of who buys Microstock (look for credits in your local papers, BBC, marketing blurbs etc), you understand how to sell things etc, it helps. Read Ogilvy on Advertising and some other books on the subject of selling, they have helped me. Research the stock sites. Look at each and every photo you take a look at it 100% size. Microstock demands professional work ethic, hard work, and good quality control. Most people don't have what it takes to hit the big time. But some do. It might be for you and it might not. Good luck. I thought to answer your forum post in a comment form to one of your photos was more appropriate.... ;-) |

Blue Eyes......by TonyUKComment by nicoengelbrecht: Lovely shot, great skin tones and I love the way her hair gets shorter closer to the shadow. (If it were not for the rules would you have softened the neck on the right a bit?) Nice shot! |

Blue Eyes......by TonyUKComment by owen: The centred composition works great here. I like the clean, crisp feel of this shot. Great model. |

Blue Eyes......by TonyUKComment by kevip6: I'm really torn on this one because the model, expression, makeup, lighting, hair, and focus are all fantastic. But, I really don't like the crop and composition, I'm not at all adversed to tight crops and central compositions but I don't think it works here. The crop is either too tight or not tight enough, it's like the frame is fitting round the head rather then positioned and then the central composition adds to the discomfort of that. Still love it though, great lighting |

Blue Eyes......by TonyUKComment by tmorninglory96: This has a very Twiggy factor to it! Love it, the only thing I see I might have done was run it through neat image to smooth out the skin a bit more, but still a very cool pic! Beautiful eyes! |

Blue Eyes......by TonyUKComment by RulerZigzag: I like the portrait, crop, lighting, colors, just perfect. I feel this is what I would want my portraits to look like when I begin trying them. Negative space is good here on the sides, makes her more imposing. Her hairstyle is really cool, I must say, very futuristic. That 60s style with the makeup meets 2012 here. Eyes could be more smiting, but blonde hair is easy to overexpose. 9 |
