I like the simplicity of it. The silhouettes turn this from a specific family to a universal one. However, the main thing that holds this back for me is the lack of emotion. I don't see enough happiness in this photo. That's not easy to convey photographing silhouettes so there needs to be more emphasis paid on the composition to convey it. For example, if the child was being held up higher and a burst of light or sun rays was hitting the child it would begin to show emotion, that of pride and of happiness. Perhaps that's a little over dramatic or would make it too staged look but I just use that example to illustrate a basic point. Good luck.

It's a charming shot. The only thing I'd want to fix is the fact that I can't exactly tell if they're 'happy'. Like, if you took away the title it might be confusing. xxx.

I bit more silloette (sp?) of the family and less of the structure would have helped, and the leaf to the left is distracting. Remember, most people view photos left to right, and a blurry leaf is one of the first things we see. 5

Can you let me know the intention of the candle being there? sorry if sounded ignorant. I believe the main subject lacks focus, I mean the eggs are not sharp, rather my eyes are going toward the candle.

The contrast feels a bit to strong for me here. It seems that you were shooting in a low light area or under a darker overhang of trees?

If you could've moved to your right some you might've gotten more of the lighter reflection through the bridge. It could've almost been a nice bridge silhouette then? -BB

I like the transition from Green to Orange across the photo. As if the bridge actually connects two different places

This photograph is titled "eggs" but the focus is on the candle and it's a little distracting.

I love the scene, but the photo seems a little soft and overprocessed in some spots.

sorry the editing has made this look like one of those shots where a film camera has let in the light on the side.
