did you use natural light or a light set? The reason I ask is because if the light was a bit lower more of the beads might have reflected color like the pink one. It's still very nicely done and very clean.

interesting subject. the additional noise/grain, however, blurrs what should (IMO) a clear and crisp depiction of the (actual) grain, taking away instead of adding to the photo

Greetings from the Critique Club!

My first impressions on seeing this are that this is a very interesting and colourful shot. It meets the challenge and the ring of eggs draws the eye around and around looking at the details.

I'm a fan of negative space so the vast emptyness in the middle works for me but it won't for everyone, as some commenters said. The coloured border works too, which they often don't.

The lighting does seem a bit harsh, especially on the bottom-left of the circle. The pastel colours are a good choice but DPC voters tend to like bright colours more.

Overall, a good shot with something difference from the usual. The score reflects that and if you had got the lighting a bit softer I think you'd have got closer to a 6.

This is neat... My first reaction was to say that there needed to be something in the center, since everythign else seemed to be leading my eye to the center... but I kind of like just having the black void there. Cool shot, beautiful colors!
