A more shallow DoF might help draw the eye to the plant in the foreground. As it is here, your eye gets lost looking for the main subject of this shot.

I think this would of been better is there was a clear focal point - something to look at first and branch off so to speak. You do capture the randomness of nature though.

This was my highest rated photo in this challenge (with three other shots). I am not happy to see it so low in the ratings. I think that this is one of the best representations of bad. And it has doe it in a very good way, a way that everyone is familiar (or should be, if everyone was a kid once). The cry is so honest, the tears... It's a snapshot, but that's what makes this shot even better, in my eyes.

There is no point of focus which tends to make your eye wander all over and the direct flash is a little too harsh . Maybe next time try and zone into the plant a little more and try softening the light source.
