Critique Club feedback -

Nice bit of bokeh in the background. I would concentrate on making sure your focus is accurate, trying different compositionts and add a bit of contrast to the shot to give the statue some life.

Was there a side bet to see who could shoot this statue the best? I would have moved slightly right to get less of the sky and get more of the tree in the background.

Comment by bassbone:
the bokeh in the background is not very flattering - improving the smoothness of the background (shallower DOF on the statue) and adjusting the colors so it is more pleasing might help here

Way to tight, and the color is utterly dull. Fix you whitebalance.

Seems out of focus, and overexposed. The composition is way too tight, or actually it lacks a composition alltogheter. Not a keeper..

A real quick and easy white balance is as easy as:
Image, Adjustments, Match Color, click the Neutralize box and watch what happens. (Photoshop)
Minor Color Intensity and/or Luminance slider adjustments can be done on some pics, but this one was basically correct with the Neutralize box checked. It's that easy.

To all people who didn't get it, and are looking for some sort of explanation... It's a pun on "assault and battery." My original idea was throwing a battery at a box of salt, but those didn't turn out as well. And yes, I looking back on it, I should have changed the white balance... it was a lack of judgement on my part, as I thought the yellow brought the battery out more. Now that I look at it however, definitely not.
