When I saw this challenge this was the first thing I thought about. Great minds think alike. Good clean photo. In my picture I wanted the sun setting or rising to bring the wind mills out of the open. Plus it gives the sky a color.

Part of the fun of the challenge is comparing the photos to the work of the photographers they're paying tribute to. I can't figure out who that would be in this case. Creative idea and point of view. Composition is good but a little tight in the frame. Focus on the eye is good. DOF feels a little to shallow ... or a little too deep, I'm not sure which. Color doesn't help the image for me.

Following comment is not directed at YOUR picture only at the setting of your picture....

I think this would be a classic image right after a few inches of snow.
