A super portrait, absolutely tack-sharp, good textural detail, and very effective against the oof background and foreground. I wouldn't want every wildlife photo I see to be like this, as generally I do like to get a stronger sense of context, but I do really like the other-worldly feel of this particular photograph.

Late to comment but must say it was my top pick and actually the only vote I gave on the first run-through. Unfortunately, though I got back to vote the entire challenge, I never did get back to do my final bumping so it ended up sharing an 8 with a couple of others. They all deserved at least 9 and I know I'd have given this a 10 if I hadn't lost track of the day and time. Congratulations on a fabulous job and excellent finish.
