This looks like the kind of place you just have to experience in person, as a photograph doesn't give you the full 3 dimensional feel of what looks to be an incredible space. This photo still does a great job of capturing some of that essence.

Nice candid portrait. The clarity is nice and the background breaks off lovely. Maybe a bit sharp seeing on how his right side is blurred but still kinda works. The colours are nice and natural. However if he is out playing in the snow I would have much rather seen a nice dramatic action shot with this colour and clarity then a simple portrait. However it is still nice.

I think you may have just missed the focus on this, looks very cold though so perhaps frozen fingers may have been the culprit! Cool portrait.
