Nice subject, I'm sure, but a difficult one to capture on film. There's no clear center of attention in the image, and the tree on the far bank blends into the background a bit much. I'd suggest moving around the subject a bit more and changing your angle of view (don't care for the shooting down into the canyon look, imho), but that was probably difficult given the topography.

Good even lighting in this shot, and great overall focus. The full contrast range is good too, the only thing missing is the WOW factor.
