Sleepingby stevebkComment by smyk: yeesh, image quality is low here. also the composition is weak. the empty space around is a waste of space. come in closer. the empty space doesn't do anything for the photograph |

Sleepingby stevebkComment by Sam94720: I like composition and lighting, but the position of the right arm does not look very natural (Could you hold it like this while sleeping? Was this position chosen to keep the boob visible?) and the picture is a bit pixelated (it's a pity). |

Sleepingby stevebkComment by loriprophoto: Looks almost pixelated to me. I am not a great fan of soft focus/filter and wish that her feet werent in the dark corner, kind of draws my eye away from her. Good luck. 5 |

Sleepingby stevebkComment by BobsterLobster: Interesting shot, doesn't really work for me unfortunately for a few reasons...
The floor is not a good texture for this shot, it just looks like cheap laminate that happened to be on your living room floor rather than an inspiring surface with a texture you knew had to feature in your shot.
The composition doesn't work for me at all, she feels far too high in the frame with too much negative space at the bottom. I'm not sure how I feel about her head at the bottom right of the shot... the head really needs to be the focus which is better achieved at the top left of the frame. Because the bottom is the highest part of the shot, and it's very light, the eye is confused about whether this is the focal point. If there was more detail, it could be, but it's overexposed and burnt out. Besides, your model has a lovely face and expression, and I feel that this should be the focal point. The lighting doesn't quite work... like I said, the bottom is burnt out which is a shame as the rest of the body is backlit quite nicely. The head needs better lighting though, and the shadow cast by the head is not good at all. A question that pops into my mind is why you used the rug? I feel that you could have made more of this, it's a little kitsch and you could have had some fun with that. You clearly have a great model and I feel that this photo has tried to conjure a 70s glamour feel which just doesn't work on a cheap looking floor with a cheap naff rug (sorry!), I think your model deserves much better surroundings if you want this shot to look classy rather than cheap. Her expression is lovely and heartfelt, and you need to reflect this with everything around her. |

Gorilla.jpgby stevebkComment by smyk: great detail! did you think of cropping it tighter to get rid of the yellow up top? it would be great to have the gorilla full frame |
