Hard Breadby StaristComment by Camabs: hmmmm, not sure whether I don't get it or don't like it. I think this picture contains many elements that distract from what I think is the subject of your picture. To start with the subject, it is a bread with some sauce or creamcheese on the outside. I don't understand why you framed it that way, but I do not think it is a pretty sight. The lighting is very harsh, probably a direct flash. Direct flashes produce reflections, blown highlights and sharp shadows. Next time, try to soften the light, either by bouncing it off a ceiling or by putting some kind of diffusing material (e.g. a tissue) in front of it.
The picture also suffers from many distracting elements, both in the back and to the left, as well as the left bottom corner. You can easily prevent this by emptying the table before you take the picture. |
