Quackby paulwComment by paulw: I was blessed that day. I was allowed to get within about 2 feet of this little guy. He was the most curious of the whole bunch. He came right up to me before his parents honked at him. They kept a very close eye on me, but didn't consider me a threat.
He was so cute. |

Newgrangeby paulwComment by paulw: Originally posted by Nikonian Ninja: wow, that's old. how many shots for this panorama? |
This is actually just a single shot. I think the people give a bit of scale to the building. There's plenty of history here in Ireland. This building is one of three such tombs in that area, all from around the same time. It's believed that this was the last built, so the others would be around 3300 BC or so. This makes them older than Stonehange in England, and older than the pyramids in Egypt. |

I'm Differentby paulwComment by ursula: I agree, the selective desat works here (and it doesn't work well often). Great catch, and your post-processing is wonderful. |

I'm Differentby paulwComment by Brad: This is one of those rare occasions that a selective desaturation works very well.
The title, her size and the direction she is looking in are the icing.
Great shot and post-processing. |
