Comment by goodtempo:
the teeth marks in the yellow-gold crayon is distracting but nice composition and exposure

I like the circle. For some reason my eyes noticed the seam on some of the crayons. That could have been easily fixed. And are they in a certain order?

Couldn't meet this challenge any better, eh? This is an excellent shot. Might have turned that one crayon (yellow orange on teh right) so that the two dents didn't show. 9

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments.

Achiral: The shot was actually taken mid-day in a sunlight room. I partially wrapped the clock and camera with black foam to get the exposure I wanted, and to control reflections. Here's what the setup looks like.

The hardest part of this shot -- aside from the dust -- was focus. Each time I modified the composition, I'd have to wait for the second hand to return to xx:35, and then had to work fast. :-)

e301 -- The clock is the sort that advances to the next second very quickly, then also stops quickly -- that's why you don't really see any motion blur between the seconds.

Swash -- Even though the second hand stops for almost a full second, I still needed to experiment with the angle of the camera so the photo would show enough of a side view. I had a few shots taken from a more vertical angle, and the second hand is hardly visible -- it's too thin.
