Comment by K3Master:
Nice composition and texturing here. I like it when someone isn't afraid to pay more attention to the mundane, in order to find the surprises among it.

Comment by bassbone:
love the idea here to acknowledge the abstract works of earlier painters - the textures are a nice touch - a bit more contrast may have even given this more punch

There is what appears to be a fair amount of mnoise grain, however that may jsut be the texture of the surface. It's hard to tell.

Excellent! I don't normally vote in challenges I enter, but was really looking forward to this one, so here I am. I think that this is awesome in it's simplicity. It's exactly what an abstract should be, and very different for all of the curvy shots, including mine.

Why is the bottom of this child's face chopped off? Also, I think I would have gone for a deeper DOF.

I think the photo is too "in-your-face". The dirt on the face isn't not convincing enough for me...did you use black paint instead?

I really like the shot, the lines, the angles, and the shadows are really nice. The only thing I found distracting was the two people in the bottom right corner--I think it would have been more powerful if they were cropped out. That shadow is so strong and sure helps this image be powerful.
