Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
Out of the box .. and slamming from left feild. I like it .. but others may have issues with the nature of the picture.
Composition:
I find the composition a little boring ... sorry ... think about backgrounds .. think about the rules of photograpy including rule of thirds (you should google this) .... I would also consider a reshoot taking into account the rules.
Consider the following
Girl perched on stool with one leg up hair and face as above.... and whip dangling over knee ... cropping the shot to exlude the full length of the stool ... so it is a tigher crop on the model .. but still captures the boot and the whip in a slightly different way ... just a thought.
Subject:
Will you got hit by the DNMC vote .. big time. I find this really funny . I did not vote on this challenge ... but I think that for some this image really will epitomise success .. being that success is self determined.
Technical (Colour and light):
The picture is a little flat/lifeless .. trying a little more on the contrast and the curves may help to eliminate this feeling.
To grow its vote?:
Well meeting the challenge how others see it would help ... apart from that think about backgrounds and bringing life into a picture.
Summary:
Interesting work .. keep it up. Be interesting to see what you come up with next.
