I hope you find my critique "helpful"...and if you don't, please feel free to send me a PM and ask (or tell) me something more. :)
I really enjoy this type of image! To me, there's something special about the suddenly seen object. I love nature and I like how, in this image, you have portrayed the spiraling tendrils of a climbing plant. The choice of B&W adds a cohesiveness to the whole. The selective focus lets me know exactly what the subject is.
Spending a few moments with the image helps me make several interpretations as it relates to the challenge topic of "spinning"...there is the slow spinning of the tendrils as they made their day-by-day journey...and there are elements that could be spinning in the wind...finally, I notice the human-like figure in the tendrils which seems to be caught in a dance-like pose. It does, however, take a few minutes to arrive at that final conclusion.
Technically there are a few distractions: the lighter line about 1/3 down seems interruptive; the general graininess of the out of focus bits; and the intrusion of the bud in the upper left corner. These are minor overall but do take away from the perfection of the image. You do (also on the technical point) have a nearly full gradation of tones working for this image. The tones help make it rich.
Overall, I love the idea behind this image! It is, in challenges, taboo to title after the challenge...but "Spinning" or "The Dancer on the Vines" might be appropriate here. A title can help direct the viewer at times.
Keep shooting! You've got a nice eye for detail!
