Under These Streetsby fatLouieComment by levyj413: A little too dark, a little too low-contrast. I know it's hard to get the light right when shooting a dark tunnel with a bright end, though. |

Not Quite Thereby fatLouieComment by ShutterPug: too busy of an image - nothing to draw my eye to the numbers on the motor without having to search for what the title is referring to. |

Under These Streetsby fatLouieComment by UNTITLED: Very artistic photo, the perspective looks good. Seems composed too narrow to me, I'd like to see more width to see the full tunnel or at least all of the escalator. |

Not Quite Thereby fatLouieComment by Germaine: It took me awhile, but I get the title. Clever. There's an awful lot of gear cluttering up the picture, but I guess it goes with the territory. |

I really like this photo. The lighting is perfect. Moody and interesting, casting shadows in all the right places. Taken probably mid day? I like how outside, it's extremely bright, and some of that light is spilling through on the reflection on the metal about 1/4 of the way down. My eye is drawn initially to the opening at the top, and led down the escalator to the very bottom. Very effective use of perspective to create motion in a somewhat stationary object. (The stairs move, but we can't see them, but movement is implied anyways). |
