First of all, cute subject!

I like the fact that you used 2 flashes, that means you're trying to make more out of it than a snapshot.

The light is pretty uneven. The shadows and highlights, close together, are almost like pure black and pure white. The fact that you used a flash at the left makes that effect even stronger. You might want to try to use the flash at the other side (with this photo) so the extra light can fill in the shadows (for example behind the bottle and at the shirt) The build-in flash is one you might want to avoid. It's harsh and gives harsh shadows.

I realise this would have been a now-or-never type moment, but it would have been a hundred times better if the focus landed on the food she's holding instead of the top of her hand.

The "thing" is not in very good focus. The focus seems to be on her fingers. I would really like to see her mouth in sharp focus.
