Easy to see why it's called Dream Lake, if there is scenery around like this in wintertime! Magnificent setting, very promising with tons of potential for great shots here. Very simple and appealing image with some mist/blowing snow? going on too and the dark evergreens offset by the solidity of the mountains in the background. I think the main problem it didn't do well is partially due to the safe composition and also largely in part due to the vertical portrait orientation, as opposed to the much more appealing horizontal orientation.
Reason being, some voters will see images on a phone or device and have to scroll down in order to see the full image; I feel that this robs the image of its impact. Even a square crop would have worked well here and helped eliminate minor items like the bits of shrub in the foreground.
