great, natural, loving pose. I suggest getting rid of that spot of red and that spooky inverted vegetation thingy behind her head. And the word is "almost"

The flash lighting says snapshot but the composition and careful posing says portrait. I like the tension between the two. You have an almost perfect symmetry of swings threatened by the man being bigger than the woman. Yet somehow they find a balance. Maybe it's because her orientation is more vertical and stable, while his curves into a big C... or maybe a Y. I find it a very pleasing shot. You get the sense that they have a good chemistry with each other. Certainly *some* kind of chemistry!

The "raking light" (thank you, BearMusic!) does a good job of showing his muscles. I like the dark shadows, but I feel they would be more effective with different framing. A tighter crop would allow them to create some interesting negative space. Right now you've got this huge field of black on the left that is doing nothing. I realize that this is the hip thing to do at DPC, but it doesn't make any sense unless there is some reason for it, and there almost never is, though unicum pulled it off in his portrait in landscape entry.

Yeah, simply chopping off the left side of this photo would improve it tremendously, imho. The fact that he's looking away from the space does slightly invoke themes of loss or leaving something behind, but it is both too tenuous and too cliched. Leave just a little black space there and the same point will be made less sentimentally.
