Solitudeby p_johnsComment by StevePax: Lots of emotion in this shot. I think the front clouds are perhaps a little too orange - they kind of grab my attention a little too much. 7. |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by banmorn: Great colors in the sky, not sure that the subject silhouette works well, while definable, it is barely so and is dwarfed by the magnificene of the sky....perhaps a bit too along. I think a large subject ona closer view might have worked better for me.....but the sky is dynamite. |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by tyt2000: Nice colors and silhouette, I would have off-centered the person, because it might have been stronger at conveying solitude... |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by aKiwi: Amazing capture. Composition could perhaps be made more interesting, but I see the problem, crop left and loose the salmon coloured clouds there, crop right and loose the fire coloured clouds there. I probably would have left the same though I find my eye goes straight to the middle & stops too fast there. 7. |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by arngrimur: A great sky, the rusty colour of the cloud on the left is beautiful against the blue sky. Although there is a area over the horizon (the strong cyan and yellows) on the right which hits me in the eye. -7 |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by Rasai: Where you able to pose the model? It would have been interesting to see a few other silhouettes... not that there was a lot of time though! I also wondered if you could have sacrificed some of the grandeur in the sky for a larger view of the model? |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by Skip: this is a wild image. unfortunately for me, i cannot really tell what that is up on that hill...is it a post, a sign, or a person? love the colors, just wish there was a little more context. |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by MrAkamai: Hard to determine what the person is doing on the hill. A little more detail would be good. Also, I think you included too much of the hill. Less hill, more sky. Speaking of sky, I love it and the colors reflected on the clouds. 6 |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment by graphicfunk: The big breast panorama. This is intriguing but the vermillion- orange poses an immeduate sense of incongruity. Is this smoke rather than clouds? Because if this orange formation is at the same level as the clouds of blue-grey sky then this can not be. For example, the transition never goes from vermillion to deep royal blue while the clouds are within close proximity. Of course fog rising can do this because it is on a differemnt plane. Another mystery is the pure yellow and cyan on the bottom right.
Certainly a strong image with the silhouette and while I will blame the pure yellow and cyan to a ps color shift, I will give the artist the benefit of the doubt about the vermillion coiuds. Bumping up. |
