almost feel a bit sad when i opened this pic ..
could be that the building seems to have a face .. rhs btw .
and it doesnt look happy ..
i like the shadows of the tree on the building .. and the loneliness this image seems to give off .. good one . :)

Windmills can be so fascinating, especially rusty ones! Good find.
My take is: Your subject is a target (dead center). A completely different perspective could help this be more interesting. Get in closer and down low maybe. Mind your power lines. :) There is no interest in the sky (no clouds). You cannot control the clouds, but you can choose when you go shoot. :) Overall the photo feels very flat to me. Hitting it with some contrast would be an idea. I would like to see you reshoot this on a day with better sky, perhaps during the golden hour or early morning and see what you can do with it.

This has a lot of potential, but it is missing something. Perhaps the contrast is too low. For a different perspective place the camera on the rail and take the pic, or even better, try the pic right after a train has passed.

Sometimes the simplests things can be nice. I like the way this picture is taken. It give us a diffenrent view of the railroad. The shadow in the lower left corner disturbs the balance in the picture.
