The Hudson in the fallby noeulComment by noeul: Thank you for your kind comments! I'm new to digital photography and don't know how to play with the photos, so all I knew how to do was increase the saturation a little bit to make the colors a little brighter.
For those who are interested, I went to Kykuit, the Rockefeller Mansion, in Sleepy Hollow, which is open to tours from late June-early November. They have a beautiful garden overlooking the Hudson.
Unfortunately, as misterjosh mentioned, it was a very hazy day, and I was unable to get any good shots of the Hudson. =( oh well. I'll try all your recommendations next time I'm out on a hazy day! Thanks again!!! Hopefully I'll be able to take more pics and keep submitting them so that I can become SOMEwhere near all of you!!! =) |

The Hudson in the fallby noeulComment by misterjosh: Like with my Hudson Valley photos from this same weekend, the haze unfortunately mutes the colors and washes out the horizon... Oh well, at least we got a wonderful 65 degree day in November, right? :) |

The Hudson in the fallby noeulComment by Mary Ann Melton: You have beautiful fall colors and a beautiful setting. The use of a ND gradient filter might have allowed you to keep more detail in the river and fog beyond. |

The Hudson in the fallby noeulComment by Shan2112: oh! I'd be curious to know where this is specifically - I've lived in different ares of Hudson Valley for several years now, I certainly like the colors, nice work :) |

The Hudson in the fallby noeulComment by mycelium: ahh, the sky is dead.... looks like a hazy day, which of course is really difficult to shoot well. the best trick I know is to use Exposure Compensation at about -2 and then push the exposure in photoshop. |
