not sure who the tribute is to, but...imho, this needs a bit more focus and contrast.

could have made a bit better use of the tonal range available to you... nothing in this picture gets very close to white

Brandon-

Seems as a majority of your comments are about the focus. Just thought I would throw a couple of pointers your way, if you don't mind.

1. Most cameras have a focus lock, usually by pressing the shutter button halfway. Make sure the focusing point(usually the center circle) is over whatever you want in focus, then with the focus locked arrange your composition.

2. You took your photo at 1/3 of a second, this is next to impossible to handhold steady. If you don't have a tripod, improvise and look for something to set the camera on that will keep it in the proper position and then use the camera's timer.

One more tip...always watch your foreground and background, they can make or break your photo.

Hopefully I told you something you didn't already know. If I didn't just blow me off. If I said something that doesn't make sense or just sounds stupid feel free to send me a PM.

Good Luck and Happy Photographing.

Comment by Falc:
Very monochromatic even though the 'sluch' has a hint of color. There is no real focus of attention, nothing for the eye to come to rest on here. Compositionally this needs a lot of work. Maybe a Red ball thrown into the scene, whith a little snow on would have given this another level.

Sorry but I can only offer a 4 for this
