The flower is overexposed, this really takes away from the great shot.

I like the alternating "rose" white "rose" white effect. Maybe if it had something in the foreground to break up the scenery it would been more interesting for me.

All of your subject matter is quite distant, leaving nothing in particular for the viewer to observe. I think you should try to pick something of particular interest for the foreground and then let that take you into the scene. Keep shooting. 4

Hrm. On the one hand, with a rose tint, I might have thought a less empty picture would have been better. On the other hand, the whole trope of rose-tinted glasses is that even something this lonely would look good -- and it does. Hard to decide how I feel about it.

i dont know if the actual horison is tiltled like that, but with an unlevel horizon, my attention is all going on the right.. it feels a bit unbalanced..

Nice idea, but a bit bland, the lighting, etc. has little contrast. The water is almost blown out and distracts the eye to the right side. Maybe a bit lower into the plants would have given a bit more texture and interest (?).

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Wes and welcome back... Glad to see you went out of your way to bring us this photo because it is simply beautiful. I think I caught onto your idea with the coloring with my original comment on this photo. You did an excellent job of capturing some by-gone era with the coloring. The weather was also beautiful for enhancing this theme. The grey sky works nicely with the bare trees that are just starting to bud with spring in the northern part of the US.

I think this photo is underrated. I don't know why it didn't score a lot higher. I actually think that the 'cheeze' factor of most postcards is quite stereotypical and the aggregate vote on the site probably is used to seeing things that way.

Excellent work... I wouldn't change a thing about it...

Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more...

Nice shot and effect -- for some reason this image reminded me of the movie the Ring :-)
